Dried Marrow

As always, I fancy a marrow over a net but not when a loofah is inaccessible. Last weekend, one of our staff brought a huge, dried marrow from her village. After removing the seeds, she cut it into halves and gave me the half.

I’ve been using it for few days now – when scrubbing has never been the same – feels like cleaner than ever. Surprisingly our young people were laughing to see me. Did I bicker then? It wasn’t all that necessary. I’ve come of age and no longer in the stage what others say… “Be wet behind the ears.”
