Grappled with something but did my utmost
to fulfill my duty. I made a promise two months ago – an auspicious one – that
in three months’ time my students can read. What a word of honor to keep!
Again, might have tussled with every challenge
a teacher had to take but got to stay true to what I said – I promised the moon
– so no retreat, no excuse.
We started with the alphabet including
sound discrimination – this took us a week. Then we moved on with one-syllable-words,
and then a word, a phrase, a sentence. Today we have done a book.
