Selfish Gain

Not an extreme environmentalist, but I am a solid sympathizer. More than just a believer, I inculcate the importance of a green-and-clean surroundings and protecting the nature. The last four months, my concentration was picking up bottles littered at the center. I had collected four sacks.

       

We sold them for a shocking price surprisingly–a dollar and a half. “Only?” my selfishness questioned. I stopped collecting bottles for few days. Then I realized how this selfish gain reigned in my heart.  Not anymore. Come rain or shine, I’ll still collect bottles for as long I am at the center.
