We used to hangout a
lot like brothers in days gone by. As I’ve no dominion over the world’s twirl
and whirl or over life’s growth or over someone’s transformation, I learned to let
go. I dwell in the now, and past are cherished memories.
Those were the days!
Undeniably, it was apparent
to me that such friendship had an end seeing as we weren’t citizens in that foreign
land. But I had no reason to cut ties. If my friend only knew, I did my best to
reach out countless times, in many ways possible–it wasn’t that gratifying.
