Comment Conscious

For many years, reading comments of netizens on anything scared and amused me. I’ve survived the cruelty of words and got joy from kind thoughts conversely. I still snoop about it, but never make remarks–not in somebody’s business I personally don’t know.

The reason why I keep coming back (seemingly dissatisfied), browsing through critics and critiques every so often, is to know an alien’s mind. If one wants to know the rudest or the most pathetic or apathetic creature has ever lived–in virtual world–where written reaction is a never-ending story, it’s just a click a way then.

With Investors

It is a straight out confession–the food was not my precedence since I am on a diet. My ulterior motive to accept thoughtful invitations was the delights of being in a company of kindhearted people–when endless lunch treats happened four weekends in a row. I don’t get this time and again–not in my isolated world.

They are not only investors, but also my superiors despite their indirect control of our school. And for as long as we do our jobs, know our premises, and maintain great respect, they make no distinction between us workers. That’s the spirit!

PRAXIS

“You didn’t come for methodology, did you?” I verbalized my thought. This statement usually raised a few eyebrows and rarely inviting. But wait until I’ve exhibited few hours of an excessive, hands-on training. That’s when old brains are filtered along with aha and eureka taking place. It’s like driving a car that swiftly needs a detour.

Although I grew up in a laid back generation, this doesn’t make me conventional. I defy monotones aside from flouting rote learning. If I welcomed norms, wouldn’t have taught this long. I’m a radical supporter of praxis because every learner deserves the best education.

This Work Called Teaching

With my advanced  learners

Teaching entails so much time aside from gifting. It’s a hard-at-it-job you can’t imagine. This occupation or any words one deems it isn’t as easy as you thought–where learning is ceaseless (not to mention all sort of aversions).

People’s outlook varies, and so for every educator goes the same. I, too, have my own standpoints. Here are a few impressions and misconceptions I have heard like forever.

“It’s the noblest profession.” (I could not agree more.)

“It’s not that strenuous.” (That I would consider pointless!).

“It’s avoided by millions, but they ended up doing.” (It’s a spot-on, funny circumstance!)
