Back to my unfrequented
world. The last seven hours was unexpected saturation–a deluge of joy would haven’t
had if I didn’t hang out with my students. It was a cascade of events partly envisaged
and didn’t see coming. This imbued me with a strong sense of gratefulness–not a
facade emotion.
When the higher-up found
out I’ve been isolating in days, he sent one of our students to pick me up and
drive me around villages. “Ah, it’s just a familiar routine!” I griped. No,
it wasn’t. Not to mention some takeaways, it was the warmest welcome I
received.
