“It doesn’t matter
having only a pair of clothes to wear. Just wash them well and don’t get stink.
”
My aunt used to preach. Yet it took me years to understand such persuasion
seeing her children blessed with innumerable clothes to name while I was naked
from the waist up. I engraved them in my heart still.
When I left home and
lived my own, that’s when her nuggets of wisdom struck me most–some people
still stink in spite of the many clothes to wear. One can be clean inside out still
even in the absence of abundance.
