Bitter Again

The wait is over today and I’m feeling bitter. After one long month of excitement and wondering, here came another unsuccessful attempt–as many would say: “Chalk something up to experience.”–hopefully this accepted wisdom would help while I’m still pampering my sourness at the moment.

I hate this kind of sensation–the agony of admitting defeat–it’s one of the indescribable stages I have to get through–when endless sentiment and inquisition get in the way before I’d finally let go. I know this is what exactly journey all about, but don’t want to deny that I’m bitter again.

Mark of Grace

On the one hand being a motherless for thirty-eight years and a fatherless for twenty-one years is no easy, but on the other hand it made me stronger despite my circumstance–a bittersweet life which shaped me who I am now. Anyone can achieve even the greatest dream still whether or not he is an orphan. I’d been there.

Let these photos evince words I can’t utter further–one of the many marks of grace I received. And if not for my adopted child’s initiative to post them on Facebook, they could’ve been almost forgotten. This was three years ago.

Something New

No matter how I tried my utmost to set great store by this job, I’m losing the joy. It’s too early to retire, I know, but this is what I’ve been feeling lately–becoming jaded of this career. “I want something new!” my heart hankers everyday. I already have three things in mind, which remain nameless still because uncertainty keeps me from unveiling them.

Twenty two years in this line of work is enough. Don’t worry I won’t disenchant the value of education. Just can’t imagine myself doing the same thing for another decade. I dislike being a deadbeat either.

Worst

Terminologies on Facebook such as “tag and share” are so perceived differently–only in this country. It is so annoying how these local friends tag you every single day even if you’re not in the picture or share photos even if they aren’t part of that particular life encounter.

Last week, I posted an album from our pictorial. The following day, I found out something infuriating–my former student stole some pictures from that album and reposted them on her timeline–captioning a different title–like she owns them. She doesn’t even know these people. Surprise, surprise! What was that?

Safety First

Safety to famous celebrities is very costly. Luckily I‘m not one of those sought-after individuals, thank goodness. Just can’t imagine working doubly for this necessity that I might enjoy comfort and seclusion–it’s free after all. But even then, I’m not excluded from facing dangers or one’s evil intention. No one is!

Being in the crowd makes one less likely to be harmed though, but it’s my responsibility still to take precautionary measure–safety first. But the people I’m living with care less about it leaving our doors opened at night. When reminding didn’t work, I locked the doors myself.
